Are you interested in photography?  Are you interested in journalism?  If you said yes to either of these questions, then you should try the "Over Your Shoulder: An Intro to Photojournalism" program at the Fox Library!  Yes the name is a mouthful, but it is a great program! There will be 3 sessions of the workshop and an exhibition of your work.  With the guidance of a professional photojournalist and Fox Library’s willing patrons as our inspiration, this workshop will help young photographers learn the principals of composition and other technical approaches to create compelling images.

You may be wondering about requirements, so here is the nitty-gritty.  You must be between the ages of 9-13.  I know this cuts out a lot of you older teens, BUT there is another photojournalism course starting in March for teens, so don't worry!  You do need to attend all the class sessions.  We encourage participants to provide their own cameras, but if that’s not possible, please contact  We can figure out a solution.

There are two more fantastic reasons to attend this program.  1- It will give you a chance to go to the Fox Library, which is cozy and cute.  2- It is free!  Why not try something new, especially if it won't cost you a penny?
