July Movie that Dare Not Speak Its Name!

Did you know we are playing a teen movie Friday at 2:30 PM in the Community Room? I would love to tell you the title, but I can't! But I CAN give you some hints!
Check here and Facebook for hints and clues all this week.

1- This was the last completed film role for Heath Ledger who died suddenly on January 22, 2008.  Ledger was the only actor considered for this role according to Director Christopher Nolan because "he's fearless".

2- Katie Holmes declined to be in this sequel choosing to be in Mad Money that same year.

3- Ledger won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his amazing portrayal of a comic book villain in this movie.  This is the first comic book movie to ever win an Oscar for acting.

4- When this movie was released it made $67.2 million dollars in one day.  This was the biggest opening of any film and held this record until the release of New Moon.

5- In 2008, Empire magazine voted it movie or the year.

6-  While filming at the Battersea Power Station in London, a fireball created in one of the explosions created panicked calls from residents reporting a terrorist attack.
