Upcoming Events: Gap Year, Writers, Early Release and Food Friday

What Is a Gap Year, and Is It for You?

Are you feeling uncertain or hesitant about going straight to college?  Have you looked into gap year options and been overwhelmed by what is out there? Do you worry 
about what a gap year may cost?  Come learn all about gap year from Jane Sarouhan, Vice President of the Center for Interim Programs, the first independent gap year counseling organization in the United States. Jane has been working with young adults, families and programs for 20 years as an educator, programmer, director and counselor.
Students, parents and staff are welcome to attend!  

Teen Writers Workshop
8 Mondays:
Monday, 2/6, 2/13, 2/27, 3/13, 3/27, 4/10, 4/24
6-7:30 p.m.
Writers' presentation on Sunday, May 7, 3-4:30 pm
Work with Lynette Benton, published writer and writing instructor, to begin or move forward on your writing projects. For students who like to write stories, poems, or essays. For ages 12-18.  Meet at the Robbins Reference Desk.

Early Release Movie- The Princess Bride
Tuesday, February 7
1:30-3:15 p.m.

Enjoy the early release day with snacks and a screening of the Princess Bride in the Teen Area. Open to those in grades 6-12. 

Food Friday!
Friday, February 10
3-4 p.m.
Robbins Library Teen Area
Teens, come to the Teen Area and sample the latest food gimmick! This food tasting event is for those in grades 6-12.
