Happy 2017!!!: Happening this New Year!

Robbins Library will be closed Sunday, January 1st and Monday, January 2nd due to the New Year's Day holiday. We will have our regular Tuesday hours on January 3rd. 

Looking for something to do? Here are some of the programs we are offering at the beginning of January for those in Grades 6-12.

Teen Opinion Time

Come share your opinions about the library, our programming, and materials so that we can make the library a better place for you.

LGBTQ+ Drop In
Thursday, January 5
3-4:30 p.m.
Robbins Library Community Room
Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, ace, or questioning teen? Are you a teen ally for LGBTQIA teens? If you answered yes to either of these questions then we invite you to come to this event! Meet like-minded teens from the community and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Early Release Movie- KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS
Tuesday, January 10
1:30-3:15 p.m.
Robbins Library Teen Area
Enjoy the early release day with snacks and a screening of Kubo and the Two Strings in the Teen Area. Open to those in grades 6-12. 


GSA Summit: Supporting and Sustaining Your GSA
Saturday, January 14
2-6 p.m.
Fox Library Community Room
GSAs (Gay Straight Alliance) and QSAs (Queer Straight Alliance) play an important role in every school and community, much more than just a social club. Mystic LGBTQ+ Youth Support Network (Queer Mystic), the Boston Area Homeschoolers QSA, and the Robbins Library invite you to join us in discussing ways to maintain a robust GSA for years to come. Discussion followed by a post conference party!  Refreshments will be provided. Open to ages 12-19, membership to a GSA not required. ASL Friendly. This space is not wheelchair accessible.
