November Happenings: Forensic Science, Book Group, Movie, and more!

November is the start of the holiday season and is the month of our Staff Development Day so be on the lookout for days when the library wont be open. Here are the dates in November when the library is closed:
Friday, November 11 for Veterans' Day
Friday, November 18 for Staff Development Day
Wednesday, November 23 we close at 5pm and are Closed through Thursday, November 24 for Thanksgiving.
*Please note this doesn't include closings due to weather or other unscheduled events.

We have some really great programs lined up for November so let's jump in!

Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, ace, or questioning teen? Are you a teen ally for LGBTQIA teens? If you answered yes to either of these questions then we invite you to come to this event! Meet like-minded teens from the community and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

oin us for our new bimonthly book group just for youth in grades 6 and 7. November’s book is The Last Boy at St. Edith's by Lee Gjertsen Malone. Copies are available to pick up in the Teen Area.

Forensic Science Road Show
Thursday, November 17
3:30-5:30 p.m.
Robbins Library Community Room
Venture into the world of CSI with this interactive program that introduces you to the fascinating subject of forensic science.  Subjects include:   Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory, Functions of Forensic Scientist, Blood, DNA, Fingerprints, Metal Detectors, Footwear Impressions.  For grades 6-12.

I have not listed the Teen Writer's Group or the Girls Who Code Club in this list of events because those programs are filled. You also may have noticed that Food Friday is not happening in November, this is due to all the holidays and Friday closings in the month. Don't worry, Food Friday will be back on December 2nd!
