Work with Lynette Benton, published writer and writing instructor, to begin or move forward on your writing projects. Ms. Benton will inspire and guide you on your writing journey. Bring writing you’ve been working on (short story, novel excerpt, poetry). For ages 12-18.

Come to the Teen Area and sample the latest food gimmick! This food tasting event is for teens only. Food Friday is not recommended for those with food allergies.

Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, ace, or questioning teen?  Are you a teen ally for LGBTQIA teens?  If you answered yes to either of these questions then we invite you to come to this event!  Meet like-minded teens from the community and enjoy a night of fun. We will listen to music and play Superfight!

Robbins Library Conference Room
A book group just for LGBTQA teens and their teen allies. November’s book will be Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson & Grace Ellis. Even if you don’t get a chance to read the book, please join us to discuss future meetings and to choose a book for the January meeting. Books are available in the Teen Area.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours:
Wednesday, November 25 Robbins Library and Fox Library will close at 5:00 pm for the holiday.
Thursday, November 26 both libraries are closed. Happy Turkey Day!!!
Friday, November 27 both libraries will have regular 9-5 hours.

Library Closed for Staff Development Day

The Robbins Library is closed today ( Friday, Nov 20) for staff training. The Fox Branch is open today from 9-5. The Robbins Library will have regular weekend hours, Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 2-5.

Big Book List: Historical Fiction Pre 1900s Edition

I have caught wind of a Historical Fiction project happening now! If you are one of the students looking for Historical Fiction set before the 1900s then this is the list for you! If you just love historical fiction then you have stumbled upon a great resource. Keep in mind that this list features books for varying reading levels and maturity levels. Not all books will be appropriate for every reader. I hope that you will find at least a couple of titles that will pique your interest. There is a Historical Fiction display (as seen to the left) in the Teen Area with many of these titles on it for easier browsing. As always, myself and other staff are here to help so let us know if you have trouble locating any other these books.

Game Time Hang Time Thursday, November 19 3-4:30 p.m. Robbins Library Community Room Teens, come hang out after school and play some PS4 and WiiU games.

Library Closed for Veterans Day

The Robbins Library and Fox Library will be closed Wednesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. Both libraries will have normal hours on Thursday.  Please keep in mind that Robbins Library opens at 1:00 pm on Thursdays.

Teen Events: Mini Comics, WTNV, LGBTQA Drop In Night, and food!

Making Mini-Comics

Mini-comics are small comic booklets that anyone can make. In this fun, fast-paced workshop, we'll create many characters and stories together, and you'll learn how to start making your own mini-comics. 
For ages 10-14. Space is limited; please pick up a ticket in the Children’s Department 30 minutes before the program.

Welcome to Night Vale Night
