Ideas Needed!

The Teen Advisory Group is back! We will meet on Wednesday, September 2nd in the 4th floor Conference Room for one hour starting at 3:00 pm. We will discuss anything and everything teen related at the library. We are looking for your feedback or ideas for programming, materials, and services. All ideas are welcome!

Attendees will get community services hours.

We just discovered some great comics on Hoopla and wanted to share a sampling of some of the titles. These comics are always available for you to check out anywhere you have an Internet connection and are perfect for those times when the library isn’t open or for those days where it is just to hot to leave the house. Teens Only LGBTQA Book Group Wednesday, August 26th 7-8 p.m. Robbins Library Conference Room A book group just for LGBTQA teens and their teen allies. August’s book is I am J by Cris Beam. Even if you don’t get a chance to read the book, please join us to discuss future meetings and to choose a book for the August meeting. Books will be available in the Teen Area.

Teen Writer's Workshop is Back!!!

Writer's Workshop for Teens
Meets Six Mondays in the fall:
September 21, October 5, 19, November 2, 16, 30
6-7:30 p.m.
Meet at the Robbins Library Reference Desk
Presentation on Sunday, Dec. 14, 3-4:30 p.m.

Work with Lynette Benton, published writer and writing instructor, to begin or move forward on your writing projects. Ms. Benton will inspire and guide you on your writing journey. Bring writing you’ve been working on (short story, novel excerpt, poetry). Writers will have the opportunity to share their writing at a presentation on Sunday, December 14 from 3 to 4:30 pm.

LGBTQ Drop In Movie Night: “Saved!” Wednesday, August 12 7-8:30 p.m. Robbins Library Community Room Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, ace, or questioning teen? Are you a teen ally for LGBTQA teens? If you answered yes to either of these questions then we invite you to come to this event! Meet like-minded teens from the community and enjoy a night of fun. This month we will be screening Saved!, rated PG-13. This monthly event is cosponsored by the BAHS QSA and the Robbins Library. The BAHS QSA meets every Tuesday morning, and all teens are welcome.
