Delve into Dystopia

The Robbins and Fox Libraries present Delve into Dystopia the Teen Summer Challenge 2013 edition.  

The teen summer challenge has begun!  Join the rebellion and compete to move up the ranks to achieve buttons and add gear to your survival kit.  The more points you get, the better chance you have of winning the grand prize of a Nexus 7" tablet.  

You can register anytime between now and September 7th at 5:00 PM.  You can log your books starting June 15th at 9:00 AM through September 7th at 5:00 PM.

Registration is in the library.  Teens who register will be entered into raffles to win hand crank radios, Amazon gift cards, and the grand prize tablet.  Away for most of the summer?  Print your registration here and your log here.  Click here for printable bonus form.  Return them to the library by September 7th at 5:00 PM.
**Is 64 points just too easy?  Here is an additional challenge to reach a total of 128 points**

***How to get points***
1 point per- Book read up to 499 pages, Program attended, Teens you enlist to the cause
2 points per- Audio book completed, Book 500+ pages

Bonuses:
10 points for attending 5 or more programs
10 points for getting 5 or more teens to enlist
5 points for writing 5 reviews 50+ words long 
1 point for checking out a video game (max one point a week)

All book logs  must be submitted no later than Saturday, September 7th at 5:00 PM.  Late logs will not be accepted.

Bollywood Dancing for Teens

Bollywood dance is the dance-form used in some films from India.  It is a mixture of numerous styles.  These styles include belly-dancing, kathak, Indian folk, Western popular, and "modern", jazz. Sarina will teach you a brief history of this dance and some exciting new dance moves.  Please register here.

This book group meets the second Wednesday of each month. Attendees will help select the book for each future meeting. The goal is to try new books; if you can't get into the selection then just put it down. No worries if you don't finish the book, just come share your thoughts on other books you have read, eat snacks and enjoy the discussion! Drop in and bring friends.

Work with Lynette Benton, author of Polish and Publish, to move forward on your writing projects. Ms. Benton will inspire and guide you on your writing journey. Bring writing you’ve been working on (short story, novel excerpt, comedy, poetry).  Teens will meet in the Teen area and together with Lynette write.
Group meets Mondays twice a month for five sessions.
Mondays: April 22nd, May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, and June 20th
