Writer’s Workshop for Teens
Mondays twice a month for five sessions.
Mondays: April 22nd, May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, and June 20th
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
Work with Lynette Benton, author of Polish and Publish, to move forward on your writing projects. Ms. Benton will inspire and guide you on your writing journey. Bring writing you’ve been working on (short story, novel excerpt, comedy, poetry). Location: meet at the Reference Desk. Teens will meet in the Teen area and together with Lynette write. Many people make the decision to become vegetarian when they are in their teens. What are some of the reasons to choose this way of eating? What to say to grownups who worry about protein in your diet. It’s not enough to just not eat meats if your diet consists of french fries, bagels and sodas. What do you need to know to be healthy? Best of all we’ll try making a couple of vegetarian recipes and go home with more recipes and sources of information for those who want to know more.
For youth ages 12 and up.
Limited to 20 participant. Please arrive 30 minutes early to secure a spot in the program.
