The Robbins Library and Fox Library will be closed New Years Day.

Christmas Hours

The Robbins Library and Fox Library will be closed December 24th and December 25th.

The Robbins library will be open Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 2-5 so you can pick up last minute DVDs, books, audio books, video games, playaways, and whatever else you might need to last through these two days.  

We will reopen at 9:00 AM on December 26th.

AIFF Poster Contest


Poster Contest Announcement 

Third annual Poster Contest. AIFF invites students from Arlington Public High School and Arlington Catholic High School to submit their art work…
The Film Festival will take place October 23 – 27, 2013 at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA.

The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) is pleased to announce its “3rd annual Poster Contest”. AIFF invites the High School Students to create the POSTER that will become the face of the 2013 Film Festival. We look forward to many interesting and artistic submissions. 
Poster entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges with expertise in composition, design, public relations and marketing; thus, entries will be evaluated based on visual appeal, content and marketability. The selected poster design will appear in various forms; i.e. print, TV, and web promotions. The winning artist will be announced at a press conference at Arlington’s Town Hall on February 7, 2013 and awarded a cash prize of $500.

Submission Guidelines 
· Must be a student of Arlington High School or Arlington Catholic High School
· One entry per student
· Poster artwork must include:
Arlington International Film Festival 
October 23 – 27, 2013 
Regent Theatre 
· Entries must be submitted electronically; original artwork will not be accepted 
· Entries must be submitted as a JPEG file, minimum 300 d.p.i
· Deadline is mid-night January 13, 2013
· Email file to 2013PosterContest@gmail.com
· Include name, address and phone number

Teens Only Book Group

This book group meets the second Wednesday of each month. Attendees will help select the book for each future meeting. The goal is to try new books; if you can't get into the selection then just put it down. No worries if you don't finish the book, just come share your thoughts on other books you have read, eat snacks and enjoy the discussion! Drop in and bring friends.

"Vixen" by Jillian Larkin, book selection for December, is available the Teen Area now.

Another book that I've had sitting on my bookshelf for almost a year and am finally going to read!  I've hardly read any of the book, so I can't give an opinion yet.  Feel free to give your two cents if you have read "Legend".
