Writing Contest Entries are Due!




Entries to the Community Reads Writing Contest are due October 1st!  This is your chance to rewrite the ending of any book to give it the conclusion it deserves! 
The Teen Writing Contest Winner will receive one free spot in a six-week Teen Writing Workshop at the prestigious Grub Street Writing Center in downtown Boston.  Grub Street is the second largest independent center for creative writing in the United States.
The Grade Six to Eight Contest Winner will receive autographed copies of prize-winning books including the 2011 Newbery Award Winner, Dead End in Norvelt, by Jack Gantos, as well as two free movie passes to the Capitol Theater.
Winner of the Writing Contest will also be honored at a formal prize reception at the Robbins Library on Saturday, October 20.  You can enter the contest by fill out this online form.  Or you can drop off your submissions at the Robbins or Fox Libraries.
