Huge opportunity on Saturday, folks. A free songwriting workshop (and performance) by the very talented Meg Hutchinson. For teens grades 6th - 12th (or thereabouts). Starts at 2 PM in the Community Room. This is like front row seats, a backstage VIP tour and a songwriting masterclass all rolled into one. And it's free. No bones. Zero dollars. What?!? Seriously.

So sorry for the bad dad pun. Last part of the May teen writer's session is happening tonight, from 6 - 7:30. You'll be in the Children's Room (which is locked up tight). Just hang out in the lobby until Lynette gets there, and she'll walk you all down.

Seriously. Tonight from 7 - 8. Jane Sarouhan is here from the Center from Interim Programs and she's going to give you the scoop on exactly how to plan a Gap Year. Her organization is in contact with over 5,000 Gap Year programs, both national and international. This session will be super informative, and will make planning this type of opportunity a lot less scary and a lot more realistic. Sign-ups appreciated.

Just be thankful you weren't a teenager in the 80's. Jacqui's Design Group (a salon in Arlington) is generously lending two of their stylists to the Robbins for this event. They'll give you some useful makeover advice, show you some fresh styles, and tell you about the colors that are in this season (hint, hint: what looks amazing on you isn't necessarily what your best buds are wearing). Bring your own makeup and accessories if you'd like some personalized advice.
